What if God intended the church or place of worship be His creation the Earth, and ALL His children He created were the body. Then imagine if the ten percent tithing we all offered was given back to the world (His church) to provide food, clothing, shelter, health insurance, education, the opportunity for ALL to fulfill their life's purpose, and to care for our Earth as God intended His children to. Would war, starvation, disease and other worldly issues exist? If everyone is being taken care of and loved, would hate, greed, and self serving attitudes be the common human behavior? Or would we see the fruit of the spirit (love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) flourish in the way God intended? Just IMAGINE.....

Where is the LOVE?

We live in a world today where negativity is the norm, and witnessing people react in a loving manner is rare. I have faith that love can conquer all, but it is a personal choice to choose to love rather than spread judgment and hate. Go out into the world and spread the love within you to your family, friends, neighbors, strangers, animals, and our Earth. By doing so, we can reverse the damage we have created to our Earth, the sanctity of marriage and family, rebuild our communities and bring peace into our world. There are five forms of love we can give to others, such as, agape (unconditional, self-sacrificing love), philia (brotherly love), storge (natural affection), eros (romantic love), and thelema (lustful, sexual love). We were all created to receive and give love, and both are essential for our well being. "Let love be in all." ~ 1Corinthians 16:14

Remember back in the days when watching television was innocent, and the story-line may have even had a moral to the story. In today's world, the media is filled with all that is wrong with the world, such as, greed, murder, sexual immorality, drugs, gossip, lies, and much more. We the viewers need to be aware that we become desensitized to what we listen to or watch. This is even more crucial for our children who do not have a complete understanding until their brains are fully developed between the ages 21-25. Our children today will be our future, and will be guiding our world. The media world creates what the viewers demands. Therefore, if we want to see our world improve, then we need to fill our minds and hearts with good. Fill your minds, hearts, and homes with the beauty of our world, such as, love, nature, good deeds, sharing, giving, peace, good music, art, and so forth. By doing so, there will be a reduction in mental, physical and spiritual health issues. Let us fill our world with GOOD PEOPLE :0)

Sometimes, we feel as if our life isn't so great, and we wonder if there is something or somewhere that we would be better off; saying to ourselves that "The grass is always greener on the other side" But, I believe God gives us everything we need during each phase of our life's. Rather than looking into other's home with envy; always be aware that no one on earth has a "perfect" life, and we each have our own battles and issues we have to conquer. Focus on your many blessings rather than the few things you wished you had. If we really start focusing on our blessings, we will quickly be reminded how fortunate we really are. Now go enjoy all the wonderful people, gifts, and talents you have been given, and have some FUN :0)

We live in a culture where we teach our young girls they need to be perfect in this unattainable, unrealistic and damaging ways which carries into adulthood and directs their everyday choices. Perfection is a myth and it assumes no flaws and is an unnatural state. Instead of teaching our girls to follow what society tells them to be, we should be teaching our young girls to follow their heart and be who they were designed to be. God created us perfectly in His eyes and in His image so to tell our girls that they are anything but perfect is just plain wrong. I want for my daughter Joy to feel proud of her body, her face, her likes, her interests, her dreams and never think twice about following her heart. So I say, tell your girls they are beautiful, smart and loved for being exactly who they are, and teach them to be proud and stand tall because God made them PERFECT! Self-esteem begins in young childhood, and it is the parents responsibility to make their children feel important, special, and unique. Allow your children to experiment to find out who they are; don't tell them how to dress, do their hair, what kind of hobbies and interests they should invest their time in. The best thing a parent can ever do for their children is allowing them to be themselves without judgment. You are PERFECT my sweet Joy!!!

Storms in life which we call problems are normal and necessary for our spiritual development. The issue is most of us are so preoccupied by attempting to avoid life's storms or struggling with the same problem that we are not maturing by gaining the life skills/ lessons, spiritual truths and revelations we need in becoming the person we were meant to be. As the Earth has four seasons so do our life's. After each Winter storm there will be a fruitful Spring, if you are willing to endure, learn, and grow from each problem. Instead of running from the storm, we should want and need to stand still and observe and react to each problem accordingly so that we do not continue to have the same storm or issue arise in our lifetime. We want to conquer each storm successfully so that we can rest and regain our strength during the other seasons for the upcoming storms. So I say, look forward to life's problems knowing each storm showers you with the necessary wisdom to prepare you for the next. By the end of your life, spiritually, you will be an overflowing garden filled with beauty, color and fragrance. Just fix your eyes on God and He will guide you through the storm.....

It is a common behavior for humans to blame others for the problems in our world, community, religious institutions, government, schools, and in our own home. We will never begin to see progress in our world until we begin to take responsibility for our own actions. We all are imperfect beings so rather than pointing the finger at others to feel better about ourselves for a brief moment, realize that we are contributing to social and global issues. Instead of looking down at others, examine your own thoughts, behaviors, and most of all your heart. If everyone attempted to make themselves a better person by loving and nurturing their mind, body and soul, then and only then can we begin to love and accept others for the imperfect creation that they were created to be. Then it is possible for humans to begin to love and nurture our amazing home called EARTH! So I say, stop judging others and examine yourself by looking at that MAN IN THE MIRROR!

It is human nature to have the desire to want to be in control of your environment, but the truth is that we have NO control over our environment, our circumstances, and/or the people in our lives. The only thing we do have complete control over is our own mind, heart and behaviors. Many of us create stress and anxiety in our lives by simply believing that we need to control everything so that things can be safe, comfortable and self serving. However, the truth is you are actually creating disappointment with your expectations of others and the world. God gave all humans freedom of choice so it is foolish to ever believe you have the power to control others or His Creation. This gift of freedom is powerful, but you need to be fully aware that it is a gift and it is a choice to be free. To begin utilizing this gift, you have to be fully aware of it, and change how you perceive life. You no longer want to believe you have control and begin to let life just be as it is meant to be, and just relax and enjoy the ride. Be in charge of yourself and enjoy the presence of the world. We are simply meant to just LET IT BE....and with that brings an outpouring of PEACE, LOVE & HARMONY!

Couples Heart Challenge

Welcome to this weeks challenge at BBTB2. The lovely Susan choose this weeks challenge, which is the Couples Heart from the Love Struck Cricut Cartridge. I was thrilled to create something that represents the love a couple has for one another. I decided to create another Valentine's Day home decor by painting my own background on a 16X20 white canvas by using red, white and black paint. I started with the black paint and blended the red and white to create the couple as the focal point of my painting. I added the word "True Love" from the Tie the Knot Cricut Cartridge to emphasize how amazing and pure love can be between partners if the love is true. I finally painted on Mod Podge on top to add a slight gloss and to seal my project together. I wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day, and enjoy all the love God has blessed you with from the amazing people in your life. You are loved~~~

Many parents feel its best to shelter their children from sex, drugs, abuse and other worldly issues. However, by neglecting these serious topics or waiting until they are teenagers can be a disservice to your child and potentially putting your child in harms way. It is best to open the dialogue at a young age with age appropriate discussions, and continue to discuss these topics as your child develops. If the parent is too afraid to bring up such topics to their children then imagine how these children will react to such issues when their perfect world is broken by their awareness of social issues. In some cases, these sheltered children can become victimized due to lack of awareness of such dangers, which can cause a lifelong battle to heal from any abuse. In other cases, children will withdraw due to fear, and many develop a substance abuse to temporarily cope with these issues. Teach your children not to be afraid of this world, and provide them with the tools to handle such situations when they do arise. We all know knowledge is power, so it's the parents responsibility to provide their children with information to protect, grow and educate their children. Therefore, I believe you should remove the covers from your children's eyes and prepare them for the wild as animals do with their children. As with anything, the more time and energy you invest, the greater result you will achieve. Your children will be grateful someday by your openness.

It's human nature to continuously have the desire to want more. The more you feed this desire the greater it grows and controls your thoughts, emotions and behaviors, which in turns affects your everyday living, relationships, and what becomes the focal point of your drive in life. God planted this desire within all humans, but the key is to understand what He wants you to desire. It is NOT the things of this world, He wants you to desire Him. Within Him is where you find the love, peace and joy we all seek. You cannot fulfill that desire with anything else but Him. So I say, stop attempting to fill your life with earthly treasures, and instead focus on the true filler of your heart, GOD. You will no longer desire to give to yourself, but to give to others and that is what God wants us to learn. We are here to serve, not to be served. No human is more worthy of service than the next. Humans created buildings for worship, but God created the whole world for us to worship. He does not care where you worship Him, all He cares is that you love Him, talk to Him and stay close to Him. So I say, humble yourself and never think you are more worthy because of what you do here on earth, but rather realize that we ALL are imperfect. The gift is that He loves us ANYWAYS! I believe the best medicine or therapy anyone can receive is LOVE! Most of us believe we deserve to be loved first before we can love others, but true love is loving others and not expecting anything in return. I believe we would see a reduction in mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and other disorders, which would result in a decrease in physical health issues. I truly believe most of human health issues stem from mental and spiritual confusion. We have to be aware of the mental, physical and spiritual connection that each human requires. If I feel unloved by the people surrounding me, I will believe I am unworthy, which can cause depression, then can cause me to live an unhealthy lifestyle which affects my physical health. So I say, go tell at least 3 people a day that you love and appreciate them; those words will create a domino effect in that persons life which will spread out into the world. So love others regardless

Sometimes a married couple has a difficult choice of leaving their own family to move somewhere that will give the next generation a better life. My dear husband and I made that decision 8 years ago. It has been a difficult transition to leave comfort and something that was familiar to a place of unknown. However, I truly believe God wants His children to take risks in their life's even when it seems uncomfortable or even a mistake. When I look back now, I am confident that my family needs to be right where we are at. But, not a day goes by when thoughts of my family are in my heart and mind. And, when we are together, I cherish every moment. I challenge you to take a leap of faith and listen to that little voice inside of you. You will never be mislead if you follow His voice. God's plan is greater than we can ever imagine or understand so don't bother trying just listen for His direction.

I create a memoir of my daughter Joy's life from birth up to this point. I created a 90 inch by 40 inch collage of 180 favorite photos of her. My dearest husband assisted in cutting, painting and assembling the frame. I choose to make all the pictures black and white to create a calmness and unity amongst the photos. I selected the color purple for the frame since its her favorite color, plus its the color that represents God and royalty (since my Joy is God's child she is considered a princess). This is an inexpensive way to display many of your treasured photos of your sweet children and family.

Welcome everyone! I would first like to thank you all for visiting Bitten by the Bug 2 and participating in our weekly challenges. This is my first opportunity to choose the challenge for Bitten by the Bug 2, and I wanted it to be meaningful. It didn't take me much time for me to realize that my world revolves around God and my daughter Joy. My daughter has brought so much JOY to my life, including strengthening my relationship with God so I decided to use the word Joy since Christmas is near. I wanted to create something for Christmas to honor our God. So I choose the Santa on a sleigh with his bag full of presents from Santa's Village Cricut Imagine Cartridge to emphasize the meaning of Christmas. The meaning of Christmas is much more than giving material objects to those you love. Joy is on Fall Break from preschool so we are trying to stay busy with fun Halloween crafts. I painted Joy's feet with white paint and she pressed her feet on black paper to create a ghost. She added eyes and nose and other details as well. Had a great time with my Joy, but now I must go clean the foot prints off my floors ;)

Craftroom Updates!

My daughter has been sick all week so I decided to redecorate my craftroom. I repainted my originl painting to black and tan to go with a more "french" look ;)

I bought 2 canvas at Michael's for $30, and created my own painting. Gotta save $$$ for some more cartridges ;)

I purchased this storage system at Target to hold all my paper. I ♥ it !!!

I cleaned up my desk area so I can have more work area. Trying to keep it simple!

I decided to put all my cartridges back in their original boxes and stored them all in my armoire with my Cricut Expression, Cricut Imagine a Yudu.

3-D Box Challenge!!!

Our challenge this week for Bitten by the Bug 2 was picked by Jeri. She gave us they choice to choose from any 3-D box from the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut Cartridge. When I was thinking of what to create with a box, I was busy decorating the inside of my home for Halloween, and I came across my favorite movie The Nightmare Before Christmas so I decided to create a "Jack-in-the Box." If you are not familiar with the movie, the skeleton's name is JACK!!! I know, I know...it's way to early to decorate for Halloween, but I just LOVE to make my inner child happy :)))

Tree of Life

Welcome to Bitten By the Bug 2 Blog Hop!!!!

Our challenge this week for Bitten by the Bug 2 was picked by Julie. She choose the tree from the Heritage Cricut Cartridge. When I think of trees, I imagine the Tree of Life: the love of God. I created two trees, one representing the tree of life and the bottom tree representing the roots of the tree. "He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit." (Jeremiah 17:8). I placed a heart around each tree to illustrate God's love, and behind it I placed the word LOVE to emphasize how much God really loves us all. I also added cork paper in the word LOVE to tie in the inner beauty of the tree, our God. So I say, don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant, and a tree is known by its fruit so let us produce good fruit for all to enjoy!!!

Welcome to Bitten By the Bug 2 Blog Hop!!!!

This weeks challenge is given by Maria who asked us to use the ice cream cone cut from the Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge. I do not own that cartridge so I decided to use the Yummy Cricut Imagine Cartridge instead. When I think of ice cream, I think about pregnancy cravings such as pickles and ice cream. I enjoyed every minute of those nine months, especially the cravings that caused my husband to run to the store late at night. What wonderful memories!!!

My name is Mona, and I have a passion for scrapbooking and photography. I am fully aware and at peace with the knowledge of knowing that the day God chooses to take me home is unknown to me and can be at any moment so I decided to create a blog for my daughter Joy to teach her the lessons I have learned throughout my life, monumental moments and share the simple things in life we cherished together. I decided to integrate the areas in my life that mean the most to me in my blog, such as, God, my daughter Joy, family, therapy, art, and music. I'm hoping my passion will be appreciated and passed on. Scrapbooking is more than just a hobby; it brings the family together. Every moment is a beautiful memory!

I am currently a stay-at-home-mom, but was a Marriage Family Therapist for seven years. I believe in the power of family and the influence it has on each person's future. Love, respect and honor your family because when there is love in the home then the home is full.

I am currently on Bitten by the Bug 2 Design Team, and enjoy working with these talented ladies. Working on a Design Team has stretched my creativity since I knew my work would be published online. I also believe one should never stop growing or settle. Instead expand yourself, learn, grow because its never too late to be a better "you!"
